Cleaning And Care
For Marble Onyx and Granite
Post Installation Clean Up: |
 |
Clean up can generally be completed using warm water and a liquid
detergent. Abrasive cleaners must not be used since they will scratch and
dull the finish. Dulled areas can be restored by rubbing with a white
automotive
type polishing compound and waxing with liquid wax. Acetone and lacquer
thinner must not be used. Denatured alcohol will remove most adhesives
and residue, as it will not harm the finish.
Weekly Cleaning
:
Daily and weekly cleaning may be accomplished by using a non-abrasive
liquid or foam cleaner. NEVER use abrasive cleaners such as comet
or steel wool pads.
Pine Sol, Mr. Clean, Dow Bath Room Spray Foam, or Turtle Wax
Foam Spray are excellent to use. Stubborn spots may be taken off by an
occasional use of soft scrub.
Every 6 Months To 1 Year
:
We recommend a good coat of an automotive type paste wax
on the entire surface to restore luster and help maintain appearance. Light
scratches may be removed by using a white automotive polishing compound.
Circulation System Cleaning/Purging Every 3 Months:
1. Fill tub with hot water and add 2 teaspoons automatic dishwashing
detergent and 1/2 cup household bleach.
2. Run system for 5 minutes.
3. Drain water completely.
4. Refill tub with cold water.
5. Run system for 5 minutes.
6. Drain water completely.
Drain Cleaners:
Caustic drain cleaners can damage the surface if allowed to stand.
Immediately after pouring drain cleaner into the drain clean tub surface
thoroughly.
